Discovering Brac – A hidden gem in Croatia

In May, Sarah Van De Velde got the chance to explore the island of Brac, thanks to Intours and Ria Mooijaert. What followed was a two-day event full of flavour, nature, action and charm – from olive oil tastings to rafting and seaside dining. A surprising mix of authenticity and adventure, with Brac a shining pearl in Croatia.

After arriving in Zagreb, we flew on to Split in just 35 minutes. From there, a fast speedboat took us in barely 15 minutes to the beautiful island of Brac, where we were warmly welcomed at the charming Grand Hotel.

Day 1 – Taste and nature on Brac

Our exploration began spectacularly with a ride in military vehicles. Along the way, we stopped at two unique locations for tastings of local delicacies and a visit to an authentic olive oil museum.
In the afternoon, e-bikes were ready for a short but impressive ride through the forests. During a refreshing break, we enjoyed mocktails, fruit sticks and a panoramic view of the lake.
The day ended with a delicious dinner at an atmospheric agro farm, where we tasted local specialities in a rustic setting.

Day 2 – Action and authenticity

We started the day with rafting on the beautiful Cetina River. After the descent, we enjoyed a cosy barbecue at Radman’s Mills, an idyllic spot in the middle of nature.
We then headed into the mountains for a self-drive tour with colourful, local beetles. The views along the way were nothing short of breathtaking – an unforgettable experience!

In the evening, we visited the impressive Diocletian’s Palace in Split, a trip back in time. De dag eindigde met een stijlvol diner aan zee, in het hotel, compleet met DJ en een perfect georganiseerde sfeer.
