MEET THE TEAM: Freya

Energetic, adventurous and always ready for a new project – that’s Freya in a nutshell!

Travel and organizing are in Freya’s blood! With her background in Tourism and Recreation Management and an internship at a DMC in Athens, she quickly knew she belonged in the event and travel industry. Her first real work experience? That started at Act-Wise, where she collaborates on unforgettable events and trips with great enthusiasm and attention to detail.

Choosing Freya’s favorite vacation destination is a challenge, but if she has to choose, she goes for Canada. Its vast nature, impressive landscapes and overwhelming grandeur make it a dream location. On her bucket list? Iceland! She has been there several times with groups, but would love to experience it as a tourist, without planning and with all the time to enjoy.

Closer to home, Limburg remains her favorite place in Belgium. The beautiful nature, the friendly people and – according to her – the always shining sun make it a wonderful destination. And if there’s anything you make Freya happy, it’s good food. Her ultimate comfort food? Spinach puree with bacon! And on Fridays you can invariably find her at the chip shop. At the office? There’s one golden rule there: if it’s with chocolate, she’s a fan!

If Freya could choose a superpower, she would without a doubt choose flying. How great would it be to float everywhere without traffic jams and always have a beautiful view? And when it comes to vacations, she chooses camping – but with a little luxury. Electricity and decent sanitation are a must as far as she is concerned!

In addition to her work and her passion for travel, Freya also has a busy but fun household. Together with her boyfriend (who just won’t ask her to marry him 🙃), their fantastic baby and a whole mess of animals – two cats, a dog, a turtle, two goldfish and a chicken – there is always life in the house.

With her enthusiasm, love of travel and attention to detail, Freya is an indispensable member of the Act-Wise team. We are happy to have her there!
