Act-Wise FAM-Trip: An unforgettable exploration of Ghent and Antwerp

Act-Wise is not only about project management, but also about creating unique experiences. We recently organized a FAM trip for Dutch agencies, taking them on a discovery tour of Ghent and Antwerp. An experience that was anything but boring.

Day 1: Ghent – From waters to magic

Our journey began with a ride on our electric shuttle bus. The first stop was the Korenlei in Ghent, where we boarded a boat for a leisurely tour of the city. Over a glass of cava and a drinks board, we got to know Ghent from a unique side.

After the cruise, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Pillows Hotel. Next on the agenda was a True or False walk through the city, where we learned many interesting facts about Ghent.

After the walk, we visited the trendy Yalo Hotel, famous for its modern look and impressive rooftop bar. Hup, back out towards the Winter Circus for artisanal sweets from Baker Klaas, also here we discovered the impressive spaces of Bar Bassie and Tribune, which are perfect for events.

The day came to a close with a little magic at the House of Mysteries. From color-changing maps to other wonders, it was an experience that amazed us all.

After a busy day, we checked into Pillows Hotel, where we enjoyed spacious, luxurious rooms. We ended the day with a 3-course meal at Café Theatre and a final drink at Het Spijker.

Day 2: Antwerp – From digital art to secret bars

After a hearty breakfast, we boarded the train to Antwerp, where an electric streetcar took us to Dive, a brand new experience center for digital art. Then we walked through the Diamond Quarter and Green Quarter, en route to Yust for a tasty lunch. To spill your fingers!

The afternoon was devoted to a visit to De Koninck Brewery, where we did a delicious beer tasting. Then we checked into Sapphire House, a beautiful hotel in Antwerp. After some relaxation, it was time to further explore the culinary scene at WOLF Foodmarket, where we feasted on tacos, burgers, pizzas, desserts … and so much more!

The evening ended at a secret speakeasy bar, where we enjoyed cocktails and conversation in a hidden corner of the city. But what happens in Antwerp, stays in Antwerp!

Day 3: Antwerp – The final sprint

On the last day, we visited the Moxy Hotel and got a behind-the-scenes look at auction house Peter Bernaerts. We ended the trip with a serving of French fries, because no Belgian trip is complete without this classic.
