As an event agency, we at Act-Wise are often asked to participate in a pitch. It makes sense: a pitch seems to be the quickest way to compare agencies. But is it always the best way? Certainly in the events sector, there is something to be said for that.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The downside of a pitch<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A pitch may sound simple and inexpensive, but in practice it requires a lot of time and energy \u2013 both for the organising company and for the participating agencies. Every agency puts a great deal of creativity, preparation and resources into a proposal, but in the end only one is chosen. This can lead to a waste of ideas and resources.<\/p>\n

What’s more, a pitch also requires an investment on your part: writing a clear briefing, assessing multiple proposals, getting to know different teams again… Time that could also be spent directly on preparing your event.<\/p>\n
